Act 1
Alice, a traveller and stripper, who just arrived from New York, meets Dan, an obituarist, after being knocked by a car. They get closer while chatting in the waiting room at the hospital. Several months later Dan falls in love with the photographer Anna, who is making photos for his new book. Anna, who just has been left by her husband, refuses to start a relationship with Dan, because he is with Alice. Guided by anger Dan pretends to be Anna in a sex chat room, where he talks to Larry, a dermatologist, who is depressed by not being able to find the right woman and tries his luck on the net. They make up an appointment, at which by coincidence Larry meets Anna. Five months later Anna and Larry are about to get married. At the opening of Anna’s exhibition Dan again tries to convince Anna to leave Larry. They start an affair. At the end of the first act both, Anna and Dan confess this to Larry and Alice.
