Vanessa Bomert

She combines the Italian passion with her other quiet German side. This fun and sweet ex-translation and interpreting student has already been the star in various productions of the English drama group in Germersheim. Now she debuts in the drama group in Heidelberg. She sings in a gospel choir, so be sure to be enchanted by our songbird’s stunning voice during the performances.

She always finds a suitable word or perfect reply and this way wins every speech duel. She also contains a volcano of creativity, which helped her to create a new and previously unknown name for one actor of the cast. This one is actually being used frequently and has been recently re-discovered in a shop window.

Although the director is the general victim of her many jokes, she always tries to tease all of the crew, including her husband to the same amount, which is actually her way of showing affection. And one of the most important facts: Vanessa’s hair is exceptionally fine. Easy to inhale and choke on. So be careful.

Philipp Eisinger

Philipp not only explores the human nature of his character, but also discovers the secrets of the earth during his geography studies. He is quiet, but remember, it’s the quiet ones you have to watch! He is the youngest of our cast, our „Küken“ as we like to call him, but he definitely will impress you with his acting skills.

His calm and positive nature has largely contributed to our group’s work. He is the only one of the actors without an English background, but who managed to settle in quickly by imitating the way we speak, even with our mistakes.

Philipp is always good for a surprise (we only mention the Walter game at the rehearsal weekend). As we recently learned from our musician, he can even play the saxophone!

No one can lift Alice’s leg onto a chair and hit her in the face like he does. You knight! Regarding theatre, his enthusiasm and empathy have made him a huge asset to our cast.

Matthias Haldimann

Matthias made his first steps on stage and in front of the camera in his hometown of Bern, Switzerland. Upon finishing school he was drawn to Vienna to pursue his academic interests and to hopelessly fall in love with improv theatre.

After having tried to start a career of a professional actor and folk musician he chose the task of mediation between different cultures. Having arrived in Heidelberg in 2009 for further studies (M.A. in Conference Interpreting) this is his first stint on stage in Germany. Previous roles include Ferdinand in Shakespeare’s The Tempest and the Poet in Arthur Schnitzler’s La Ronde.

Matthias is an experienced intercontinental traveller. When he is not giving speeches at foreign universities or cycling through Europe he is improving his language skills overseas. Matthias is at the same time a pulsating bundle of energy and an oasis of calm. He often turns into a jumping-jack, especially if he forgets about the rehearsal break. In this case he shows his extraordinary acting experience and delights everyone with his improvisation talents, which he polishes with his improv group.

On the other hand he can be very calm and quiet, that's why he is a very pleasant interlocutor. He does not only perfectly fake a number of different accents, his fake cough is the best...or wait a minute...there is a chance that someone almost choked him with her hair...

Alexandra Oks

Originally from Odessa, Ukraine, Alexandra has been acting on stage since she was 14. „The small cat“ as she is being called by the production crew is not only an exceptional actress, but also a great therapist, she calms down very effectively the slightly crazy director. She also starred in Cocktails with Mimi (2007) and Time and the Conways (2008).

She is about to graduate from university with a M.A. in Conference Interpreting with English and Russian (these are the guys who can translate almost simultaneously or those who can work the translating machines in the booths ;-)).

She dreamed of becoming an actor, but figured out that a career in interpreting, for example in the Security Council of the UN, is just as fine. In her free time she likes to occupy herself with anything that has to do with theatre, dance, sports and music. She loves chocolate, everything else that is sweet, and cats. This semester you might bump into her when trying out the Hochschulsport dance class on Saturday morning because she will be co-leading it together with the director of this play.
